Stove Top Stuffing Meatloaf: A tasty twist on a classic, combining savory meatloaf with flavorful stuffing for the ultimate comfort food.

Introduction

Meatloaf is a beloved comfort food, and when combined with Stove Top stuffing, it becomes an even more flavorful and moist dish. Using pre-seasoned stuffing mix as a binder adds a savory depth to the meatloaf while keeping it tender. This recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners, family gatherings, or anytime you want a hearty, satisfying meal with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1 package (6 oz) Stove Top stuffing mix (any flavor)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup ketchup (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for topping, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (optional, for topping)

Preparation Steps

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2: Prepare the Stuffing

In a medium bowl, prepare the Stove Top stuffing according to the package instructions, using the milk and eggs. This will act as the binder for the meatloaf.

Step 3: Mix the Meatloaf

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked stuffing mixture, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined to keep the meatloaf tender.

Step 4: Shape the Loaf

Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape it evenly.

Step 5: Add the Topping

In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard (if using). Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 6: Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
